Living with the Mountains

The "Matagi" are traditional hunters who continue their ancestral hunting practices in the mountain regions stretching from the northeastern Tohoku region to Hokkaido. This vehicle is simple and practical, evoking the image of their mountain lodges.

There is a group known as the "Matagi" — people who practice traditional hunting methods across the mountainous areas from northeastern Tohoku through Hokkaido. Living in harmony with the harsh, untamed nature of the mountains and holding a spirit of reverence for the lives they take, they are sometimes called "mountain samurai."

Inspired by the mountain lodges of these Matagi, we created this vehicle. It retains all essential functionality while becoming something simple yet highly practical.
